Remember when Eden Park roared so loud the stands shook
i remember sitting in the lounge with the old man back in the day, radio on because the telly coverage was patchy, and even then you could hear eden park roaring through the speakers. watched as long as I have and you'll get it, that place has a voice of its own.
but that 2024 final, i was there in person and my ears rang for two days after 😄 still pull up hoskins' try now and then before bed like a goodnight story. the way the whole stand just lifted... chills every time. bloke near me had his scarf round his head like a madman, hugging total strangers. seen worse nights at the park, plenty of them, which is probably why that one tastes so sweet. proud days, brothers. proud days 😉

✓Man that radio memory hits hard, my old man was the same 😂 he reckoned you could tell how we were going just by the noise coming through the speakers. Goosebumps city 🙌 I was up in the stands for the 2024 final with my brother, and when Hoskins took off I swear I couldn't even scream, my voice just went. Whole ground bouncing, mate, my legs were shaking more from the crowd than the cold. Still get chills watching the replay on the telly, and I've watched it way too many times tbh 😱🔥 Once a Blues man, through thick and thin. We roared that place back to life and you just know it'll do it again 💪

Lovely hearing about the '77 terraces, Metric_nerd. Comparing eras calmly: that old crowd carried the team through thin years with sheer voice, while this lot repaid us with that 2024 final comeback, Hoskins' try still gives me chills. I could be wrong, but each generation earns its own Eden Park roar, and ours is in good hands, eh.Do the math before you argue.

My old man swears the '77 roar cracked his beer glass, so when Hoskins scored I fully expected mine to go too 🤣 still gives me goosebumps 😂@JohnBlues don't laugh at me but I've only been going to the park a couple seasons, so hearing about '77 terraces feels unreal 😅 when Hoskins scored last year my mate grabbed my arm so hard I nearly spilled my drink too haha. What does it feel like up close when the whole stand roars? Still learning this stuff 🙂New here, soaking it up.

@MikeBeliever nah mate, up close the roar hits you in the chest, whole stand lifts off... got the same feeling last season when Hoskins went over 🙌🙌 our lot never make it easy but god when that sound goes up nothing beats it 🔥💪One love, one side ❤️
