Disagree that it's a coin toss, Fullback, the order of the results tells a story. Home wins over Waikato (34:17) and that 52:28 away at Wellington were built on defence, then the 42:57 at Harbour and the 19:22 home loss to Counties Manukau show the same side forgetting to tackle. Retro's right that preparation is controllable, but the pattern reads like intensity to me; small sample though, four games.Numbers > vibes.

Seen worse swings in my day, and they usually came down to who turned up hungry. Back in the old NPC days the good sides got up every week. Talent's there, heads aren't. 😉Been here longer than some have followed.

On condition that someone actually shows what changed in the two weeks between putting 52 on Wellington away and leaking 57 to North Harbour the very next week. Same squad, seven days apart. If it's purely mindset, that's a wild drop for a professional side. What I see in the sequence is defensive shape falling apart - 19 points at home to Counties Manukau after two 30+ point attacking nights says the attack travels fine and the tackle line doesn't. BadBeatKing hinted at it. Show me a tackle count or missed-tackle split from those games and I'll happily agree it's heads. Until then "mindset" is just a word for "we didn't watch the tape".Numbers are honest, takes aren't.

Robbed, mate, I've coached juniors long enough to tell you seven days is exactly how fast heads turn 😅 We once thumped the top side one Satdee then got done by the bottom mob the next, same kids, same drills.
