Northland host Counties Manukau at Semenoff Stadium. Who's in?
Been waiting for a night like this since that Wellington demolition. π₯ 52 points away from home, then backing it up by knocking over Waikato - our lot never make it easy but when they click, lordy, they CLICK.
Two weeks on from that 19:22 heartbreaker against Counties Manukau, and now we get them at Semenoff under lights, 26 September. Home crowd, home turf, reckon the boys have had this one circled in red pen since the final whistle in Whangarei went quiet. π€πͺ
I'll be there, few of the juniors I coach too, they're buzzing. Who else is heading up? GET IN! π

βUmm did anyone actually watch the 26th?? π± 19:22 at Semenoff, that's how the "buzzing" ended lol. Wellington was fire tho, ah well, nowt to do π₯π€¬You don't abandon your own.

Watched the 26th sting alright, had the Taniwha on a multi leg that night and Counties getting home by 3 at the death ruined my weekend payout π Which says a lot - the TAB clearly didn't buy the hype either, line was nowhere near the two-blowout margins from the Wellington and Waikato games. Form buzz or otherwise, Semenoff against a decent Counties side is a tight margin band every time, and that's where any value lives, not blindly backing the romp. π₯Bankroll discipline wins.

Every thread about Northland gets me actin like a bloke checking the oven every 30 seconds for a pav that's clearly not ready π Whipped myself into such a lather over the Wellington game I told the whole pub we'd win by 30, then Counties went and turned Semenoff into my own personal curtain call. 19:22 at home, mate, that's the rugby gods ringing for a laugh track π€£Hold my pint.

Don't laugh but I only started following this stuff properly this season π So two big wins and then they lose at home to Counties by 3? Was that just an off night or do Counties actually match up well against them? Genuinely keen to know if the Wellington game was the real Northland or the lucky one π€Learn something new every day.

UltraUltra, honestly Counties just showed up that night and we didn't π€ harbour game had the same smell... still backing the Taniwha to bounce back πͺπ₯Heart with the team, head on pause.

Honestly I'm with OldSchoolSince86's pub caution π two blowouts then losing at home by 3... does a "bounce back" even mean anything against Counties, or were the Wellington and Waikato games just against teams having bad nights? Maybe I'm wrong but the North Harbour one worries me more. π€
-
Those two blowouts weren't flukes, teams on fire π₯ harbour was the wobble, Counties just caught us cold. Not worried tbh πͺ

Hmm, so which is it Jack π caught cold or just not showing up? Because to me a team that cops 57 at Harbour maybe hasn't suddenly become world beaters in a fortnight π€ still learning this stuff but losing at home by 3 to Counties doesn't scream "title favourites" to me...Daft questions are my specialty.

seen more false dawns at Semenoff than I've had hot dinners, young ones π back in my day Counties always turned up there with a trick or two. i'll believe the bounce back when i see itRemember when the grass was greener π±
