Finally a rematch worth getting up for 🔥 that 22-19 loss to Counties Manukau still stings tbh, but after the 52 on Wellington away, our lot never make it easy and now they get the Whangarei crowd behind them 💪 count me in for Semenoff Stadium, sweet as 🙌

Bitter one to punt on honestly - the TAB opened Northland around double figures off the Wellington thumping and I reckon that's inflated. Counties Manukau already beat them 22-19 and those derbies go tight, so the value's lying with the Steamers +9 or so. Chucked NZ$20 on the away line at that price, if the line moves closer to single digits before Saturday I'll top it up 🔥Value over a big price 💸

This team swings wilder than a scraper in a nor'wester. Counties Manukau already proved they can grind them out at 22-19, and derby rematches rarely blow out. RobbedAgain's got a point about the Harbour game, I'll give him that, seen worse swings from this mob over the years, believe me 😄 but the TAB line being fat off one good day in Wellington is fair too. Back in the day a tight three-point derby like that 22-19 meant the rematch was anyone's, and the Whangarei crowd used to count for a couple of points on its own. I'll be there with the thermos, quietly hopeful 😉

Beat Wellington by 24, lost to Counties by 3, so naturally everyone's crowned them already 😂 I've put NZ$20 on the rematch, mostly for the drama at Semenoff.Any stat can be bent.

sat through plenty of these swings at Eden Park in the amateur days, and I'll tell you the one thing this game taught me: the side everyone writes off on a Saturday is the one that turns up angry the next. Northland copped 57 off Harbour then hung 52 on Wellington, tells you expectations are a mug's game, good as gold. That 22-19 in Whangarei will sting them proper though, home crowd might just carry it. Come the 26th we'll see who wants it more 😉Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.
