Moana Pasifika to win again before the season ends

Moana Pasifika
Gut says they sneak one before the season's out, but the TAB price on them winning again will be short enough that it's a trap - 2 from 14, 567 points conceded, that form line is horrible. I'd only touch them head-to-head in a home fixture at Auckland where the crowd drags them over the line, and even then a small punt only. Bankroll is everything, fellas, and this one's a coin flip dressed up as a bet 💸

Ran the spreadsheet this morning and the defensive column made me wince 📊. Twelve losses from fourteen, 567 points against, that's over 40 a game, and you don't fix that leak with a "sneaky one" here or there. The form line WLLLL tells the same story: even when they're competitive for forty minutes, the second half falls apart. I could be wrong, but I'd want to see their remaining fixtures before touching them at all. Two wins from fourteen with a differential of minus-291 usually means the TAB price on "win again this season" looks short precisely because the market knows the sample. Context matters though, one decent home performance and the true believers get their day. I'm just not paying NZ$ to find out which week it lands.

  • Twelve losses or not, they only need one Friday night where the other side has nothing to play for and the crowd turns up 🔥. That's how the leftover wins happen in this comp, bottom side at home, dead rubber, rest a few front-rowers, suddenly it's a 10-point game. Nick, your 40 a game is a lesson in where NOT to put the head-to-head, fair call, and I got burned on the line with them earlier in the season so I know. But I'd look at it a different way: wait until TAB hangs a price worth taking, maybe throw a fiver on the odd try scorer instead - cheaper sweat, same buzz if it lands 💸. One win in 14 means the market's already priced them as hopeless, so anything they do pay out fat. Backed worse and landed worse, believe me 😭

Up one week, down the next. Classic.

  • TouchlineUltra you said the exact same thing three rounds ago bro and we all know how that went 😂 567 points conceded and you're chasing dead rubbers like they're guaranteed paydays. That's a lottery, not sport. How much of your NZ$ bankroll have you torch'd on Moana this season, be honest 🤡💸
Here to argue, not to nod along.

  • Stat from my table: their two wins both came against sides already locked in the ladder, dead rubbers do happen. I could be wrong, but one more is live; just treat it as a flutter, not a bankroll play.
Do the math before you argue.

  • Bloke's stirred harder for a team that's copped 567 than some top-four fans 😂 mate I'm putting NZ$5 on them out of heart alone, ah well, nowt to do 🏉🔥
    One love, one side ❤️

  • The nuance I keep seeing missed: point differential of minus 291 over fourteen rounds isn't noise, that's structural. FrontRowFan's sample holds, one's live 📊 but price it cold.

  • Loaded NZ$5 each way with Grace out of heart, rest of the bankroll's staying clear. See you all after the match 🍀💸
    Bankroll discipline wins.
