✓watched this club grow from day one and the pre-match gate crowd is still my favouriteBeen here longer than some have followed.

I'll be there with my voice but honestly my sausage sizzle budget is the only thing I train all week 🤣😂 hold my pint, cousins, the flags are coming with me 🔥Memes are analysis too.

Haha Robbed, mate, I've seen you demolish three snags before the haka's even finished 😂🔥 Sausage budget trained all week and the voice is gonna be gone by halftime, ah well, nowt to do. See you all at the gate early whānau, flags up LOUD 💪🙌

Three snags before the haka finishes?? Brother that's not a warm-up that's a curtain call 🤣😂 I'm bringing two flags and zero self-control, see youse at the gate 🍿Hold my pint.

Used to drive down from Whanganui for those early gate crowds and honestly the haka hits harder than anything at Eden Park, no crowd noise compares 😂🔥 saving my voice for the second half this time, gonna need it when we lift the boys 💪 sausage sizzle first though, NZ$12 well spent ah well, nowt to do. See youse at the gate cousins 🙌

Saving your voice for the second half?? Brother Supporter_23 you've been promising that since 2019 and we all know how it ends 🤣😂 haka finishes, snags go down, voice goes bye-bye - that's the natural order. I'll believe the quiet version when I see it, cousins 🔥🍿Memes are analysis too.

Saving your voice for the second half? Brother your voice clocked out during the anthems last time 🤣😂 I'm bringing throat lozenges and three snags worth of regret, gate two hours early whānau 🔥I saw this same dynamic play out a couple of times last season, and it leads me to wonder if the promise of a quiet second half is purely sentiment or if there's actually a systemic factor at play. You mention the 2019 promise, which suggests a pattern, and while the snags and the inevitable vocal cord fatigue are a given for any dedicated supporter, there's a nuance here about expectation versus output. It feels like we assume that if someone commits to being a loyal spectator, they've also committed to a specific level of performance, whether that’s vocal or tactical, across the whole game. It's hard to quantify, but the energy drop-off isn't always just about the heat or the late-day chips. Maybe it's about the initial intensity burning the reserves too quickly.Numbers > vibes.

I saw this same dynamic play out a couple of times last season, and it leads me to wonder if the promise of a quiet second half is purely sentiment or if there's actually a systemic factor at play. You mention the 2019 p…@BootToBallGuru systemic factor's easy to spot, the bench. Games are 80 minutes now, coaches run two waves, so that "quiet second half" talk goes out the window around the 55th minute when fresh forwards hit the park. Sentiment from the crowd, fatigue maths from the coach, both things true at once. Betting wise I got burned on exactly this a while back, took a half-time/full-time style margin and the second half turned it over on me, lesson banked. These days if I touch a Moana game it's live markets or nothing, because the start is the only part you can actually call with the crowd behind them.🍺Up one week, down the next. Classic.
