FINALLY we get to see which Northland rocks up π₯ 52 on Wellington one week, then cough it up at home to Counties the next, our lot never make it easy lol. That Southland trip on 2 October is gonna tell us everything πͺ through thick and thin, still backing the Taniwha π

Backing Northland off a 52-point away rout feels like paying full price for last week's fireworks. If the TAB line keeps them under -6, that's where my money goes, home form says otherwise. πΈValue over a big price πΈ

Can someone explain simply why everyone trusts the away form? We beat Waikato at Semenoff a few weeks back, so home isn't all bad surely? π Maybe I'm wrong but the Counties loss feels more like a bad day than a trend. Still learning this, thanks for any replies π

Heading down to Rugby Park for that one and I can tell you the forecast won't do Northland any favours π FanaticUltra you're half right, that Waikato win at Semenoff was real, but Counties pinched it because the Taniwha switched off late at home. Same attitude in Invercargill and Southland will smother them all arvo. We don't roll over on our own patch mate πͺ backing them all day but by a tight one π₯You don't abandon your own.

Thanks FixIsInDenier540, that makes sense to me now π so the Waikato win was real, we just switched off against Counties late? Don't laugh but that's kind of what I hoped. Still though, if the weather down south is ugly too, doesn't that make the 52 on Wellington even less useful for guessing this one? π€

back in my day we called this sort of thing "the Cruikshank special", one week the boys look like they could beat the All Blacks, next week they can't buy a yard. watched rugby long enough to know 52 on Wellington tells you less about a side than most punters think.conditions down there in Invercargill on 2 October will settle it more than any form line, and anyone who's been on a winter road trip south knows the wind off the paddocks doesn't care how you went the week before π to TrueFan2009, nah mate, 34-17 doesn't cancel out the Counties loss, it just means both were real. teams bleed form and false confidence in equal measure, always have. seen worse northland sides than this one though, so i'd keep the ticket money in the pocket till kick-off... but that's half the fun of it, aye? πBeen here longer than some have followed.
