From Toll Stadium mud to Semenoff lights
I remember those wet Saturday afternoons at Toll Stadium like yesterday - $5 through the gate, a pie in one hand, the other half-numb from clapping, and the grass bank packed shoulder to shoulder even when the rain came sideways. Back in the day we'd sing so loud the boys reckoned they could hear us out past the shops, and I half believed them 😄
Mud everywhere, cold hands, happy hearts. Funny thing is, the venue changed and the lights at Semenoff are a treat, but the feeling never shifted a bit. Same heart, same mob, same stubborn belief in the Taniwha. Like the old saying goes, a good horse is never a bad colour. Here's to the memories, and plenty more to come 😉

✓That $5 pie was half the reason I went tbh 😅 stood on the bank at Toll soaked through, singing till my voice cracked and we still lost - didn't even matter ah well, nowt to do. First time under the Semenoff lights with my old man gave me goosebumps same as back then. Same heart, same Taniwha 💪🔥You don't abandon your own.

Ah, you two have dragged the memories right out of me 😄 remember when the fog would roll off the harbour and you'd lose sight of the far touchline by halftime? Didn't stop anyone cheering, mind. My old man used to say you could hear the bank singing clear over to the back streets, and I reckon the boys on the paddock could too. Funny thing is, my first night under the Semenoff lights I caught myself looking round for the mud, felt almost wrong standing on dry grass. Then the taniwha roar went up and it clicked straight away, same crowd, same heart, different postcode of light. A good ground is where you make it, eh. Let's hope this season gives us a few more nights worth singing hoarse over 🤞Remember when the grass was greener 🌱

Pie tax got everyone at Toll apparently 😂 reckon the running rugby under lights suits this lot, but they'll need that mud ticker when Southland come down here 💪@Hannah88 spot on tbh, that ticker never leaves them. Seen the juniors training in proper Whangarei slop and they love it 💪 running rugby's flash but when Southland come up and it's chucking down, we'll see who wants it more. Backing our lot all day 🔥 ah well, nowt to do but wait and see ehYou don't abandon your own.
