From Carisbrook to Forsyth Barr
i remember standing in the old Brook terrace for that 2015 semi, fog rolling in off the South Sea and 20,000 of us roaring the boys back from the dead, my scarf was soaked through and i didn't feel a thing. back in the day the Shed used to shake like nothing else, and fair to say Forsyth Barr has its own noise now, but the spirit carried down the road with us. ah well, we'll see

✓Chorus of THAT semi still gives me goosebumps tbh 😱🔥 I was up the back with my old man, lost my voice by the 60th... HOUSE OF PAIN FOREVER 💪🙌Heart with the team, head on pause.

ah the fog, you've both stirred something there 😄 back in my day it was the cloud that came off the hill in the second half and swallowed the far posts, you'd lose sight of the ball for a spell and just roar louder on faith. i was at the Brook for years before the move down the road, and that 2015 night was the last great howl the old girl gave us. my old man took me to club days there when the terraces were wooden, and i like to think he was up in the fog somewhere that night having a chuckle. new ground's warmer and the pies are better, but the spirit packed itself into the scarf and came with us. chur brothers, house of pain forever 😉Been here longer than some have followed.

Good thread, lads. If I could be wrong about anything, it's this: the current side still plays with that same never-say-die streak from 2015, but the 2015 boys had a bit more polish in the big moments. This year's crew are honest grafters, and you can see the House of Pain DNA in how they fight back late. Just needs another finals run to really echo those nights. Either way, nothing beats the fog rolling off the hill 📊Do the math before you argue.

Chur lads, still got my battered old scarf from the Brook days 🧣 Right behind FrontRowFan. Watch the boys after halftime, they never stop running till the whistle 💪🔥

FrontRowFan's got half a point about polish, but the young lot never saw the wet night Brook specials where we won ugly and sang all the way home anyway 😄 i'll take a bit of polish mixed with that never-say-die streak any day of the week, seems this current side has both brewing. my old scarf from the Brook still hangs by the door, good as gold, too tatty to wear and too many memories to bin.Remember when the grass was greener 🌱

Lost my voice and a shoe at the Brook that night, both worth it 🤣 the fog got the shoe, the roar got the voice. Curtain call for that terrace eh 😂🧣Hold my pint.
