Finally the 3rd of October is nearly here 🙌 been counting down since the Harbour game tbh
66:19 over Wellington, that's not a win that's a statement 😱 then they go to North Harbour and grind out a one-pointer, 25:24, shows they've got guts as well as flair. Stags fans obviously hurting after the 34:21 at their place but I'll give it to them, they made us work in the second half.
Manawatu away next, and you just know this squad's gonna take it to them again 🔥🔥 who else is backing them all day?? four on the bounce and counting 💪

Landed my NZ$20 on Canterbury -13 against Southland last weekend and it never looked in doubt after the first quarter. Now everyone's piling in on Manawatu on the 3rd, which usually means the line's already gone skinny - anything around 12.5 or under I'd still take, but if it keeps drifting out to 16+ the value's drying up. The Harbour one-pointer tells me they can grind when needed, so I'm happier with them on the road than some of you think. 🔥

watch as long as I have and you'll get it, sides that win a shootout one week and then nick a 25:24 scrap the next usually do have the lot, so I'm with FixIsInDenier on the guts bit 😄 only wrinkle for me is the trip to Manawatu: back in my day country trips have tripped up plenty of red and black sides before, and everyone piling onto the TAB feels like a slip waiting to happen. 3rd of October can't come soon enough though.Been here longer than some have followed.

Back when I was carting freight through the Manawatu every winter we'd always reckon the fog down there swallowed up more favourite sides than the tackles did 😄 Wellington got towelled 66:19, sure, but I've seen fancier Canterbury teams rock up to the country and play like they'd never held a ball before.
