Four wins on the bounce and 66 past Wellington
FINALLY a thread for the red and blacks π₯π₯ 66 past Wellington, I was there and I still can't believe it, best afternoon at the old girl in years. Manawatu away on the 3rd is gonna be nasty conditions but our lot never make it easy and that's why we love them. CHANT WITH ME: CAN-TUR-BURY π

β66 past Wellington π± and we copped 34 down in Invers, bruised but still backing the red and blacks all day π Manawatu are getting smoked, who's brave enough to tip the other way? π₯You don't abandon your own.

66 at home was fun but the TAB won't be giving anyone a gift away to Manawatu, expect the line somewhere around -14 and that's where I'd be careful. Four wins on the bounce doesn't mean they cover every week, that Harbour game went down to the wire. Small play on Canterbury straight up for me, value over a big price, and maybe an odd try scorer leg in the multi πΈValue over a big price πΈ

66 past Wellington had me ringing my mate at half time just to yell π Manawatu away, I'll hold my pint while the lads make it five π€£Memes are analysis too.

Five straight feels likely till you remember Harbour nearly got 'em. Josh's right, the TAB won't be kind. Put NZ$10 on it anyway, that's my whole strategy πHere to argue, not to nod along.
-
Agree with Josh mostly, that Harbour game taught me in 1989 when a fitter side nearly lost to bottom-placed guys that form's fickle. Still think Canterbury gets the five even if they tire late, and young lot in this thread got lucky; watch Manawatu at home and tell me you're taking that prediction to the TAB. πRemember when the grass was greener π±

Took NZ$20 on Canterbury at Harbour when they were up 22:6 and nearly had a heart attack when the comeback came, so yeah Matchday I watched Manawatu at home too and still don't fancy them to hold this mob. Five straight, sure thing mate, but you punters wanting that -14 line covered? π Good luck with that. It's a lottery, not sport.

66 at home, one point at Harbour. Which Canterbury turns up in Palmerston North, eh? I'll back 'em to win, line's a mug bet π€‘Any stat can be bent.
-
Watched enough away days up there end in mud to side with Ultra88. Seen worse scares than Harbour, though. Win yes, line no πBeen here longer than some have followed.
-
Everyone remembers the 66, nobody mentions needing a last gasp at Harbour π I put NZ$50 on them at the TAB for the run to stay alive. Win yeah, cover? lol no.It's a lottery, not sport.
-
BackRowLoyal nailed it, win yes but that Harbour one-pointer still gives me the shivers. Sat through too many Palmerston North mudbaths back in the day to trust the line π

Watched that Harbour game on the radio in the ute, nearly drove off the road π Win sure, but old school mud up there humbles anyone. Ah well, we'll see.Seen it all, lads.
-
Seen worse scares than that Harbour one, believe me, though I'm with you lot that the 66 flattered things a bit. Back in my day a trip to Palmerston North in October could undo any fancy run, weather and all. Win? probably. Line? ah, that's where expectations bite you π we'll see soon enough.Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.
