Does the 51-point gap tell the whole story of Bledisloe?
fifty-one points sounds like a chasm until you remember the wallabies have only actually lost twice and scored plenty along the way. back in the day a gap like that meant nothing at eden park come the third test 😄 both teams head north in november with plenty to prove, so i'd hold off on any grand conclusions till we see how the old school tours go. happy to be proved wrong by the young ones here.

✓Wallabies only losing twice tbh says a lot, they've kept scoring even in defeat 💪 that 121-70 line for us looks comfy but the defence has leaked a bit, ah well, nowt to do. Could be wrong, but Amy's got a point buried in the sarcasm, 70 conceded in three Tests is a real sample, and the 51-point gap flatters us because it hides how much of that 121 came against tired legs late in games. I keep my own table every round and the defensive minutes are the column that worries me, not the differential. November in Edinburgh and Cardiff will tell us more than the aggregate ever will.Do the math before you argue.

Coached the juniors Saturday morning and even the kids know you can't ship 70 in three tests and call it a title defence 💪 FrontRow's right, plenty of that 121 came when the game was already gone. Wallabies only two losses and still scoring, they'll fancy Scotland on the 8th before England. Our lot never make it easy 🙌One love, one side ❤️

FrontRow, I keep my own table every round and yours is the first post I've nodded at all thread. That 70 against matters more than the 121 for. Caveat though: three Tests is a small sample, and late-game points inflate quickly when sides chase. I'd rate the Wallabies' 114 scored a shade higher than most here do.

FixIsInPTSD, same table-keeping habit here, mine lives in a spreadsheet I've run since about 2012, and I'd back your caveat twice over. Three Tests is nowhere near enough of a sample to call this a chasm. I could be wrong, but the per-match spread tells you more than the cumulative gap: 114 for and only 85 against for the Wallabies is a side that's competitive for long stretches, and plenty of our 121 has that inflated-by-chasing feel FrontRow mentioned. Where I'd push back slightly on the doom around the 70 conceded: context matters, and a chunk of those points came in game states where we'd already won the contest. That flatters the defence less than the scoreboard suggests, sure, but it also doesn't make us leaky in the way Millie's junior drills imply. The October 10 Test will be the first real read on both, and then November in the north sorts the sample size question out. 📊Do the math before you argue.
