Fair question from RobbedAgainHater318, but I'd push back gently on the clause maths. Sub-NZ$250k buyouts do exist. Usually on players on development or second-tier deals who haven't locked in senior terms yet. The catch is the Super reps bit: a ten with meaningful game time at that price would be a genuine outlier, and outliers in contract talk usually mean someone's garbled one detail. So I'd put it this way: the money reads plausible, the player profile doesn't. Small sample though, I've tracked roughly a dozen of these whispers over the past few seasons and maybe two had anything behind them. What would settle it is a name plus age. Without those, I'm treating it the way I treat a TAB multi on round one: fun to dream about, daft to bank on. 📊

i'll go the other way from the skeptics here, seen worse rumours turn into signings, believe me. back in my day the old man and i used to argue over a table at the pub about who was heading to welington next season, and half those "barmy" whispers landed.
