Look, I was in Hamilton for that last loss and the crowd left quiet as anything, whole town deflated. But 515 points in 14 rounds doesn't happen by accident. That attack travels, and finals footy in Hamilton with the crowd humming is a different beast entirely. Three losses though, and one right when it mattered... so no, I'm not locking anything in. i remember sitting in the old wooden seats at Rugby Park watching finals footy where the whole ground felt like one big marae welcome, and i'll tell you what, that hum is worth a few points on its own, so i'm with SeenItAll_Guy on this side having something of the good ones about it. 515 points in 14 games speaks for itself, no arguing with that. my only caveat is that l in the recent form. Wobble sides don't usually fix themselves in a fortnight, and come finals the sharp edges get found out quickly. still, i've seen worse chiefs teams than this one stumble their way to glory. amy's right about monday morning punters too, though i'd never say that out loud at the TAB 😄 ah well, we'll seeSeen it all, lads.

Metric_nerd put it nicely, that Hamilton hum is worth plenty - I remember similar nights at Carisbrook when the crowd carried the boys over the line. I'd back the bounce-back too, though that loss still niggles; seen worse sides recover, mind you. Back in my day the good ones just quietly fixed the leaks without all the noise 😄Been here longer than some have followed.

that loss still niggling at me too, if i'm honest. i've sat through enough Hamilton finals nights to know the table in June tells you sweet bugger all about how the body holds up come the business end.
