Finally lads, the week's here and I'm buzzing 🔥 Two wins all season, twelve losses, and somehow that crowd still turns up every time, that's the part that gets me. You don't pack a stadium like that on a losing run unless the fans genuinely believe something's coming, and tbh I'm right there with them 💪
The table says 11th, says 567 points conceded, says five straight Ls. But a home night in Auckland with that crowd roaring? Feels like the sort of night where a breakthrough finally lands. Get in if it happens, I'll lose my voice again like I did back in my playing days 🙌 Ah well, nowt to do but turn up and roar.

Back in the day we used to fill Eden Park for sides that couldn't buy a win either, and those nights were still magic 😄 I'll back the crowd loyalty FrontRow mentioned - seen worse teams than this one, but that breakthrough only comes if the forwards front up, no crowd noise fixes a scrum going backwards. I've sat through worse at Rugby Park in the eighties and would do it again tomorrow 😄 SeenItAll_Guy has it right about the forwards though, back in my day the crowd could carry you for twenty minutes, never the full eighty. Amy, that NZ$10 a game adds up over a season, I hope the coffee's worth it 😄 Mind you, I watched plenty of sides in my day look dead and buried on paper and then produce one night nobody forgot, remember the Bledisloe nights at Eden Park when the All Blacks looked shaky all winter and suddenly played out of their skins. That's the thing about expectations, they lie to you in both directions. Moana have copped some hidings this year, no sugar-coating it, but every now and then a struggling side catches fire at home in front of a crowd that actually wants them to win, and the table goes out the window for eighty minutes. Trouble is, you never know which night it'll be until you're sitting in the stands. ah well, we'll see.Seen it all, lads.
