Be honest, Tahs family: is our famous sky blue heart actually holding
Sky blue's a marketing dream and nothing else, lads, we've been repping a jersey for years while the trophy cabinet collects dust π Blood the young centres now, because "one more window" is the same song we sang last window. You want my ten? Whoever gets us over the line, I've got NZ$20 on the Tahs at the TAB anyway π€‘ Anyone quoting tradition can pay my losses.

βSky blue's a marketing dream and nothing else, lads, we've been repping a jersey for years while the trophy cabinet collects dust π Blood the young centres now, because "one more window" is the same song we sang last winβ¦Funny how a jersey gets blamed for everything except the actual defensive misses and the set piece, GoThe. I'm not defending the sky blue marketing side of things, but "blood the centres and write the season off" is a bigger guess than what you're mocking. You're calling the write-off option proven when it's never been tried here either. Where I'd meet you halfway: if the young fellas are genuinely better than what's running out now, play them, on condition that the coaching staff actually commits to them for more than three weeks before panicking. Half-trying it is how you get neither development nor results. As for my ten at the window, I don't have a name I'd stake the house on yet. Show me someone who's held form across a full Super season, not one good month, and I'll get behind him. Until then "one more signing" and "one more rebuild" sound equally like punters chasing a longshot multi to me.Numbers are honest, takes aren't.

Nah I'm with the skeptics here, write the season off?? We're not some rebuilding outfit, we're the Tahs πͺ One more window and the table's genuinely ours, I've sat through too many seasons where we choked late to just gift it away now ah well, blood the kids off the bench at least. And my ten pick, play the bloke who actually runs the game, don't panic-throw a kid in π₯π₯You don't abandon your own.

Watched enough of the young centres off the bench this season to say one thing: the sample's tiny, maybe a handful of cameos each, so anyone calling write-the-season-off off that is punting on vibes. But RobbedAgainHater318 has a point, the set piece has cost us more points than the jersey ever will. My call: keep chasing the table, blood the kids for 20 minutes a game, and if we're picking at ten it has to be whoever's actually running the attack patterns in training, not the bigger name.Numbers > vibes.

We sat through the late 90s waiting too, and patience won us nothing ah well. Blood the kids, but keep the ten steady, that's my shout.Remember when the grass was greener π±

How many times do they think throwing cash at the problem fixes it? Managementβs been clueless since the start. πΈπ€‘Here to argue, not to nod along.
-
SeenItAllFaithful, how many "one more windows" you gonna sing before you admit the window's shut? π± Gotta pick a side mate, vibes either way π₯In the stands since I was a kid.

UncleAllDay, easy on the hype mate π back in the day we rebuilt through the kids and copped a decade of also-ran footy for it, so colour me suspicious of burning another season for a few cameos. Keep the ten steady, ease the young centres in off the pine, and if the chequebook's still got room I'd rather see it spent on a tight five than another song about windows.Seen it all, lads.

Ultra88's got a point, we tried the youth route and copped a decade of mid-table footy. Not convinced blood-and-write-off fixes anything, source on that plan ever working?
-
GloryDays_4Life, I'm with Ultra88 on the suspicion, youth-only rebuilds have burned us before. I keep my own table every round and the middle path usually wins: blood one young centre alongside a seasoned inside man, don't torch the season. I could be wrong, but I coached enough schoolboy footy in Invercargill to know a kid learns more next to a veteran than in a write-off year πDo the math before you argue.

Put a tenner on the kids at the TAB last season and got burned, so trust me when I say writing off a season is a lottery, not sport π FrontRowFan's middle path is the only one that won't cost us another decade, one young centre learning off an old head beats throwing two rookies in blind. Sure thing, mate, the window's "shut" until it swings open again π€‘It's a lottery, not sport.
-
Yeah nah, this "middle path" talk sounds comfy but who's the old head partnering the kid at centre then? We've been saying "one more window" since I was running around for the Taradale juniors π And nobody's even named a ten yet, that's the actual question π₯One love, one side β€οΈ

Mike, seen worse debates than this one, believe me, and the answer's been under our noses all season. Blood the kid at twelve next to whoever's wearing the white hat at thirteen, and for ten you pick the steady hand over the highlight reel, that's how finals sides get built. Ah well, we'll see. πSeen it all, lads.

Funnily enough I was filling in my round-by-round table last night and paused on exactly this. I could be wrong, but the ten pick matters more than the centre debate, steady hand first and the kid slotting in at twelve suits me fine. One more window versus write-off? I'll keep both columns open in the spreadsheet until the derby results tell us something. πDo the math before you argue.
