Two straight losses and now Taranaki rolls into McLean Park
Bay by 10+, calling it now π₯ McLean Park under lights is a different beast and Taranaki are gonna find that out the hard way. Two losses in a row? Nah, that lit the fire tbh. I remember being there the night we came back from miles down vs Otago, goosebumps. We can do it again πͺ ah well, nowt to do but show up and roar em home π

βTaranaki fans quietly confident after two Bay losses... cute π± McLean Park on a spring arvo, that crowd carries you. Bay by plenty, mark it π₯One love, one side β€οΈ

Rob, you're calling Bay by plenty without even checking what the TAB's done with the line? π Last I looked Taranaki were only giving about 4.5 and the money's trickling their way, which tells you the market doesn't buy the McLean Park magic like you two do. I'll be straight, I got burned loading up on the Bay to cover against North Harbour at home, they were 13 up in my head before kickoff and lost the thing 24:31. So now I want proof, not vibes. Taranaki +4.5 looks like the safer side of the ledger to me; even a narrow Bay win by 1-4 cashes that. Fire back with a win? Maybe. Fire back big enough to beat the line? That's where I need to see something first, because Bay of Plenty handled them 32:17 just last weekend. πΊBankroll discipline wins.

StatHead out here doing a cost-benefit analysis on my vibes π€£ I put NZ$5 on the Bay every week purely for the emotional rollercoaster, mate. carry on πOnly serious one here β barely.

Honest question from a newbie here π everyone keeps saying McLean Park will carry them, but we just lost at home to North Harbour, so does the crowd magic not count that night? π€ I get that Taranaki coming in changes things, but is there anything actual behind the "under lights" thing or is it just vibes? Sorry if that's daft, cheers to anyone who explains πLearn something new every day.

NickLegend38 good question mate, Harbour game we were still finding our feet after the Otago high, players been honest about it π₯ Two weeks of hard training later and this team looks different. Home test vs Taranaki is where the Bay shows its true colours, trust me πͺπOne love, one side β€οΈ

Not doubting you FullbackNut but wasn't the "still finding our feet" excuse also half true against Bay of Plenty? π That was two weeks after Otago too and we still shipped 32. I want to believe in the bounce back, just wondering what actually changes besides the venue. Still learning this so go easy π

GloryDaysLegend fair question mate, and honestly the BOP one still stings π€ I copped plenty from my mates over here after that 32 we let in, so I need this win more than anyone lol. What actually changes? IMO it's the pack. Harbour and BOP bullied us up front and everything behind got starved, but the Otago win showed what happens when the forwards go forward - 35 points, easy as π Two weeks on the training paddock working the scrum and breakdown, plus McLean Park crowd riding them, that's the difference imo. Taranaki will come tough tho, no freebies. Bay by 8, get in! π₯πͺOne love, one side β€οΈ

How does a fortnight of training suddenly fix the pack when two weeks didn't last time? π Still, I want to believe. NickLegend38 you and me both, still working out if home games actually count for much!Learn something new every day.

Coached the juniors at McLean Park for years. That crowd gets LOUD when the boys lift. Taranaki won't know what hit em π₯ get in!On the terraces since I was a kid.

LeeLegend, mate, Otago got beaten by the same pack two weeks earlier πͺ one bad away trip doesn't make them soft. McLean Park resets everything, watch π₯

Maybe I've watched too little footy, but the Otago game was three weeks ago... does form really reset that quick? Genuinely asking π πLearn something new every day.

I've watched form swing faster than a Nor'wester over the years, and I've seen worse sides than this Bay bounce at McLean Park. Back them, quietly πBeen here longer than some have followed.
