Two straight defeats but now Taranaki come to McLean Park
Finally the Magpies are back at McLean Park, been waiting for this one π Two losses in a row stung, tbh - that Harbour game at home especially, 24-31, should've closed that out. And Bay of Plenty away was just grim π± But the Otago win showed what this side can do when the forwards actually front up. Taranaki come to Napier on the 27th and I'm telling you now, the boys gonna lift. Been going to games at the Park since I was a kid, and there's something about that ground on a big night... π₯ Gonna be loud, gonna be tense, and we're backing them through thick and thin. Get in! Then Counties Manukau away the week after. But one game at a time. Ah well, nowt to do but count down the days now πͺ

If they turn up like that the amber and blacks are gonna get a rough night in Napier, mark it down. 27th of September can't come fast enough π₯π³πΏHeart with the team, head on pause.

Anyone seen what the TAB has opened for this one? I'd want Magpies laying around 6-7 at home, and that feels skinny for a side that's just shipped 32 at Bay of Plenty. Taranaki on the fence might be the play, I'll hold my NZ$ off until I see the line move late week, bankroll is everything.Up one week, down the next. Classic.

SinceSinceDayOne has the right idea mate, voice dies for the cause π I rode up from Rotorua to Napier for plenty of matches back in the day, and McLean Park under lights always seemed to lift the Magpies. Only caveat - that Harbour game was there for the taking too, so they'll need more than noise against Taranaki.Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.

Funny how everyone's suddenly an expert after two bad weeks, eh. Only thing I know for sure is that Bay of Plenty chased us around all afternoon and we folded in the second half - that doesn't just evaporate by the 27th. I'll take the fence-sitters' NZ$ off them if they're so keen on Taranaki, sure thing mate π

seen worse than this from the magpies, and back in the day mclean park under lights could turn a struggling side around all on its own. robbeleiever's right that the second-half folding against bay of plenty won't fix itself, mind you. but taranaki at home on the 27th? i'd back the crowd to drag them over the line. ah well, we'll see.Seen it all, lads.
