Two losses on the bounce and Taranaki rolling into McLean Park next
Finally a proper one at McLean Park to get up for π€ two on the bounce hurts but Taranaki coming to Napier is exactly the sort of game we respond in, I was there when we turned Otago over and the crowd was buzzing. 27 September cant come soon enough, get in! ππ₯

βAny Taranaki fans wandering in here talking about an easy threepeat of wins for us... cheeky. One hiding in Rotorua and suddenly everyone's writing us off π€ Look, that Bay of Plenty night was ugly, no arguments from me. But the Otago win showed what this side actually is when the pack gets going, and McLean Park on a late September afternoon is a different animal entirely. Taranaki will fancy themselves, fair enough, they should. Coming to Napier off our worst performance of the season though? That's the sort of setup that bites you. Counting your chickens already... bold move, that. See you on the 27th, bring your rain jackets and your humble pie ππ₯One love, one side β€οΈ

Put NZ$20 on the Magpies at home in the Otago game and it landed nicely, so I've still got a bit of faith here. Taranaki coming to McLean Park on the 27th, I'd want to see the line before loading up but home ground after a 17:32 touch-up usually shortens the price quick. Worth getting on early if you believe in the response, value over a big price every time πΈBankroll discipline wins.

The way these dudes are discussing the line before the 27th is hilarious. It feels like we're waiting for the All Blacks to decide if they're gonna show up, just based on what we ate for lunch today π€£. My weekend plans were just waiting for the first half to finish, but now I think my entire social calendar is booked until after the final whistle. Get those snacks ready πΏπ.Only serious one here β barely.

Back in the amateur days I watched sides stagger off a hiding and bite back the next week, so aye, I'm with Scrum_Legend. Only worry is Taranaki don't do us favours. Ah well, we'll see πWatch as long as I have and you'll get it.

Funny how everyone's suddenly a hopeful after one decent Otago night π We've lost two straight, 24:31 then 17:32, and now Taranaki rock up at McLean Park on the 27th. I had a wee flutter on that Harbour game and got burnt, so the TAB won't see my money till this mob prove something. Taranaki at home should shorten the line, sure thing mate, but in reality? Bracing for another long afternoon πIt's a lottery, not sport.

i still reckon the core stuff is there, but two games is enough to make any pundit nervous. i remember being at an old game, and even when the boys looked shaky at halftime, they managed to dig deep. you canβt rely on a single win, though, and even the crowd at McLean Park canβt force a tide turn when taranaki bring their grit. watch as long as i have and youβll get it, but patience isn't a strategy that wins big clashes.Been here longer than some have followed.

Beat Otago then lost two straight, and some of yous are already calling it a response game π€‘ TAB line will tell the truth long before the fanboys do πHere to argue, not to nod along.

Love how Ultra88 can't even spell the ground he used to watch from π Meanwhile Scrum_Legend's still riding that Otago high like it means something, one good night then two straight defeats, 24:31 and 17:32, that's a slide mate. I'm keeping my NZ$ in my pocket till I see the TAB line, if Taranaki are favourites at McLean Park the fanboys can rant all they like.Love how Ultra88 can't even spell the ground he used to sit at π And Scrum_Legend's still riding that Otago night like it means something, one win then two straight defeats, 24:31 then 17:32, that's a slide mate.Any stat can be bent.

Fair crack to Ultra88, we've all fluffed a ground name after a few π i've seen worse magpies sides than this and they've still lifted for the big visits. the harbour and bay games stung no doubt, but that otago night showed what the group can do when the crowd's behind them, and mclean park on the 27th will be heaving. Taranaki won't lie down though, so temper the optimism young fellas.Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.

Two losses in a row, 24:31 and 17:32. Time for the punters to start looking at the TAB lines properly. πAny stat can be bent.

seen plenty of magpies sides written off after a couple of dents, and plenty of them got up and bit someone on the nose the following week. i was at eden park in the old days when sides turned up looking done and walked away with the skin off the visitors' backs, so i don't put much store in a two-game slide on its own. that north harbour loss at home stung more than the bay of plenty one, mind. dropped it 24:31 when they should have closed it out. still, taranaki at mclean park on the 27th is the sort of afternoon where expectations deceive you either way, one way or the other. i've seen worse magpies sides than this one lift for a big visit. whether these boys have it in them, we find out soon enough. i'll be watching either way, that much i know πSeen it all, trust me.
