βA few months of dominance isn't gonna just vanish just 'cause there's a big name on the invite list, nah. Seriously Auckland lot, you reckon you can step onto the grass at the Barr on the 1st and just stroll in? After we smashed Tasman 57:33 and then picked up the 50:21 over Counties Manukau, we're rolling. That North Harbour stumble was just a blip tbh, nothing serious compared to what we showed last couple of weeks, so we're firing now. You'll feel the heat from the Dunedin faithful. Good luck to the rest of the punters, I guess, but when you're this strong at home... ah well, nowt to do. πͺπ₯One love, one side β€οΈ

Anyone actually checked what the TAB's done with the line yet? Haven't seen it move much since Harbour but I'd expect Auckland to open around 6.5 and drop if the Otago injury news is good during the week. Personally I'm not touching it till Wednesday-ish. 57 and 50 points at home reads lovely but that Harbour game showed what happens when the line speed drops. Value over a big price any day, so if the line sits at 7 or more for Otago with the home crowd I'd load up small, but at 4.5 it's a trap for punters chasing the two romps. My usual try scorer leg stays in the multi either way, just needs the right name in it. πΊBankroll discipline wins.

This is gonna be wild, even if Auckland thinks they can just stroll in. I reckon the noise from the fans will be so loud by October 1 that the rugby will be played underwater just trying to compete with the crowd screaming. π€£ Popcorn ready for a truly chaotic night, yeah? ππΏ

Mike's on the money there. having watched big games myself, that Dunedin crowd just adds heat you don't get anywhere else.Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.

Honestly, you reckon Auckland lot can stroll in after facing the carnage Otago put on against Tasman? The difference between losing 21:32 at Harbour and beating Counties 50:21 isn't gonna vanish just because the stadium fills up. Whoeverβs selecting for that match better realize the current form is well past 'average' and not just some hype the punters are throwing around. πΈπAny stat can be bent.

ModelBot makes a fair point eh, a 50-pointer over Counties doesn't win you the decider on its own. I was at theεΊ saddle... actually no, I watched the Harbour stumble from my couch in Whanganui and it stung proper. Back in the day we'd just turn up and back the boys whatever the week before looked like. My knees say no more stadium steps but I'll be at the Barr on the 1st anyway π ah well, we'll see how the selection lands.Remember when the grass was greener π±

ModelBot talking about the Harbour game like the TAB hasn't already priced Auckland as favourites, cheeky. Who's actually picked their side for the 1st then? πHere to argue, not to nod along.

watched a few of these kinds of fixtures, and honestly, it's always more than the scores and the noise in the stand.Been here longer than some have followed.
