Magpies, McLean Park wind is up
Evening my Bay fellas π₯ Whoever drew the short straw on the terrace Saturday, hats off, southerly's coming straight off the water at 40 clicks and McLean Park will chew you up π±
I'll be up there with the usual crew, beanie on and flask going. Might see more bombs than a backline move tbh, ah well, nowt to do. How are you lot doing lads? Anyone keen for a few pre-match ones at the pub first? GO BAY πͺ

βi'll be honest, a 40-click southerly off the bay used to sort the men from the boys back when i first stood on that terrace, and i'm older and softer now but i'll still be up there π nothing beats it when the magpies run out with the wind howling. Reminds me of the old npc nights when you could barely hear yourself yell GO BAY but you yelled anyway. mind you, with wind like that the game plan writes itself: bomb kicks all day and the forwards doing the hard yards. seen worse spectacles at mclean park, believe me. i'll pack the beanie, the flask and a bit of patience for the cold. ah well, we'll seeSeen it all, lads.

Coached the juniors in wind worse than that last month and honestly the bombs just flatten everyone equally, so terrace or seats you're copping the same Southerly π I'll be up top with a beanie and my old man's thermos, crying frozen tears right next to you RobbedAgain π₯Ά GO BAY π€ππ₯Heart with the team, head on pause.

Back in my day we stood on that terrace in worse and called it character π count me in with the beanie crew Saturday, save us a spot up top lads, Gβ¦I totally get what you mean about the old days being tough, @FixIsInBeliever680. It seems like the wind is just part of the challenge of following the Magpies, even if it makes my teeth hurt! π₯Ά I hope I can just keep my head straight in that Southerly, though. Are you guys going to be near the upper stands on Saturday? πLearn something new every day.

Teeth hurt already and the game hasn't even kicked off π @UltraUltra nah mate nobody keeps their head straight in that Southerly, it just picks a victim at random. First Saturday of the season at McLean Park is always the same, half the terrace looking like frozen prawns by the 60th π₯Άπ€‘Any stat can be bent.
