McLean Park faithful. Who's keen for Saturday's clash and what's
Afternoon lads!! π₯ How are we all? Been flat out all week selling stuff but Saturday has been circled on the calendar since the draw came out tbh πͺ
Keen as anything for McLean Park, hearing the back row might be all Magpies which has me buzzin π± and yeah that southerly off the foreshore β rug up crew, bring a jacket AND a thermos, it'll be bitter as. Wind suits our kicking game though, we've seen teams get munted there before π Who's keen, who's on the piss after, and what's your XV looking like??

βgood on you sam for flogging the raffle tickets all week π back in my day we used to rug up in a woollen jersey and call it luxury at mclean park, southerly and all. keen as mustard for saturday myself, an all-magpies back row sounds like the right old school call. ah well, we'll see.Seen it all, lads.

Sorted my jacket for Saturday already, the southerly will sort the boys' kicking game out nicely π€£ chocka stand here we come!Hold my pint.

Chur Sam, good hustle on the tickets π₯ Metric_nerd mate my old man swore the same about his woolly jersey, reckons wind like that separates the real first fives from the rest π see you all in the chocka stand πOne love, one side β€οΈ

Wind helping our kicking game? Mate I've put a TAB multi on the southerly blowing the ball back over the posts at least twice π€£ half these lads couldn't kick into a paper bag on a calm day, so I'll believe the grand wind plan when I see it. Still keen as though, see youse in the chocka πHold my pint.

John_Queenstown mate ππ that TAB multi sounds like my kind of punt, might chuck a lazy NZ$5 on it just for the laughs. But nah, I'm backing the wind plan tbh. Remember that club semi out here years back when our first five just pinned them in the corner all arvo with the southerly howling? Absolute clinic, they never got out of their half πͺ if the coach picks blokes who can actually hit touch and chase, that breeze becomes our 16th man. All-Magpies back row = graft first, skill second, exactly what you want in that weather π₯ Chocka stand, couple layers, flask of coffee. Get in!! πYou don't abandon your own.

Ha, that semi's exactly the sort of arvo I grew up on, seen worse days at McLean Park than a howling southerly and loved every minute π all-Magpies back row would cap it off nicely, and John can eat his multi if the ball comes back over the posts even once. I'll be in the chocka with the woolly jersey on, jacket and a flask, see youse all Saturday lads.Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.

I could be wrong, but I reckon the trickier question is whether the coaching staff actually trust it for 80 minutes or if we see the borrowed forwards come on once the legs go around the 55th. One thing I'd add on the southerly talk: wind at McLean Park tends to swing around off the stands in the second half, so whoever wins the toss and picks the end might be chasing their tail by the 60th. Worth watching the warm-up more than the forecast, honestly. Either way I'll be up on the old embankment with a flask, keen as.

nah if the southerly turns up that borrowed forwards question answers itself... you don't need legs at the 55th when you're just jamming it into the corner and letting them drown π reckon the all-Magpies back row holds up fine, seen our juniors do worse in worse weather πͺHeart with the team, head on pause.
