Harbour are rolling after that 57:42 demolition of Northland
FINALLY lads, the 4th of October is nearly here and I'm buzzing already ππ₯
That Northland game was something else, 57 points!! I was up off the couch screaming at the telly, tbh felt like the old days at Albany. Been following Harbour through thick and thin even when Canterbury pipped us by one, that one stung for a week ah well, nowt to do. But three wins from four in September? We're rolling.
Roadie to the Bay is on my calendar, taking the ute down with a few of the boys. Who else is making the trip?? πͺπ₯

β57 points and the Bay mob still reckon they'll smash us at home π Trip is a mission but count me in, backing them all day π₯πͺOne love, one side β€οΈ

Bay away usually a trickier check than the price suggests, so I'd want to see the line before throwing anything on. Took Harbour -4 against Northland and it landed easy, but that Canterbury one-point flip cost me a decent multi, so I'm not loaded up yet. If the TAB keeps them under -5 I'd have a small play, anything past -7 and I'm leaving it. Travelling? Nup, watching with a beer πΊBankroll discipline wins.

Honestly I'm still hoarse from yelling 57 points at my telly like it was the Bledisloe π Rotorua trip is booked, my liver has filed a formal complaint πΏHold my pint.

Ha, that Canterbury one-point sting, seen it all before mate. Back in my day we lost finals by less. Still riding down to the Bay regardless πRemember when the grass was greener π±

All good wobbling about the line, SeenItAll, remind me of your ROI again? Canterbury by one was just the tab gods having a laugh. Bay away, sure thing mate πAny stat can be bent.

that rostov... sorry, Rotorua trip comment made me laugh, John. my liver's been lodging complaints since the late 90s and it never wins the case π i'll be honest though, harbour in september reminded me a bit of the old days at albany myself. watched the otago game with my boy, and he reckoned the crowd noise was like something from before his time. that canterbury one-pointer stung, yeah, but seen worse in a long winter of watching. the bay away is always a proper ask though, rotorua crowds get stuck in, and i remember plenty of good harbour sides going down there and getting a surprise. so colour me buzzing but quietly so. if you're driving down, leave early, the last stretch always takes longer than you think πBeen here longer than some have followed.

Funny how Otago got spanked 32:21 same month everyone wrote us off. Rotorua away is the real test though, Gary πHere to argue, not to nod along.

Canterbury loss still stings me more than the Northland blowout does, if I'm honest. But aye, Rotorua away will tell us plenty. I was at Albany for the Otago game, best afternoon there in years πWatch as long as I have and you'll get it.

Love that everyone's suddenly a Harbour historian after one forty-something point party π Where was this energy after Canterbury nicked it by a point at Albany? Half of you were writing the eulogy then, I remember the thread. Anyway I'll be making the Rotorua trip, already chucked a tenner on at the TAB purely for the atmosphere money. One-point losses and thirty-point wins in the same month, this side keeps me honest as a punter which is the problem. 4 October, see youse there π€‘πΈ

ha, RobBeliever has a fair point though. i remember that canterbury thread too, fellas ready to call the whole season a write-off over one bounced ball. seen it all before, that's what happens when you follow a team with your heart instead of your head π but aye, i'll own it, i was grumbling after 24:25 like everyone else. the otago game settled me right down though, my old man took me to albany back in the 80s for harbour games and that afternoon had the same feel to it. and as for the 4th, i'm already looking at the drive up from rotorua, might make a weekend of it. bay of plenty at home are never easybeats, so temper the hype a little, young ones. harbour have scored plenty this month, but canterbury showed what a bit of pressure does to them.Seen it all, lads.

Hawke's Bay away wasn't exactly a stroll either, 31:24 and we had to work for it. Buzzing all you like, Rotorua's where the fancy odds get tested πHere to argue, not to nod along.

Robbie's got a point worth hearing, young fellas. I've sat through enough Harbour seasons to know one big score means the sun's shining and nothing else. Back in my day at Albany we'd belt someone by thirty then lose the next week to a side that simply wanted it more. Enjoy the buzz, but Rotorua will ask different questions. I'll be watching, as always πRemember when the grass was greener π±
