βAnyone else reckon that Auckland win was the best footy we've played in years?? π± 40 points away from home, trading shots all night and still standing at the end... that's proper ticker πͺ Now Canterbury rock up to the Arena. Any red-and-black lads lurking in here - you happy to come to Palmy after watching us hang 40 on Auckland? Because I'm not so sure your boys are π Three wins from four, home crowd going mental, no reason we can't do this again. Through thick and thin with this mob, and I've seen the Arena rocking before but the 3rd might top it. Who's in?? π₯πOne love, one side β€οΈ

Ticked my Saturday multi on the back of that Auckland shootout and it landed, so I'm staying loyal πΈ Canterbury will open favourites at home for them surely, but Manawatu at the Arena off 40 points away is where I'd want my NZ$ - value over a big price if the line gives Turf anything near single digits π₯Bankroll discipline wins.

My cardio plan for the 3rd: one beer every time we concede, so basically the Auckland game sober by halftime π€£ Canterbury better bring an ambulance for the scoreboard.Only serious one here β barely.

FullbackNut's got it right, that was proper ticker in auckland. traded blows with them all night and still had legs at the end, you could see the whole bench roaring when the whistle went π mind you, don't get carried away young fellas. i've sat in the arena watching canterbury sides come over the hill thinking they'd already won before kick-off, and they usually have. back in my day the red-and-blacks treated a trip up here like a training run. three from four is lovely, but this one will be won up front in the first twenty. if the turf pack holds, the place will be rocking and i'll be up the northern end with my old coat on, same spot as always πRemember when the grass was greener π±

Love how TouchlineLoyal's already claiming credit for a multi just because one leg of it limped home π Remind me of your ROI, mate? Meanwhile the only fact that matters: three wins from four, and 29:12 in the Bay says this side can grind too, not just win shootouts. I'll happily take the Turf at the Arena if the TAB line gives us anything decent π€‘

watch as long as I have and you'll get it, i've seen worse defences win trophies, but i've also seen shootouts like auckland come back to bite you a week later. canterbury will make you pay for every missed tackle at the arena, so i'd temper the party a touch. still, three from four, and that bay of plenty grind tells me there's steel in this side. i'll be on the couch with a cuppa cheering them on πBeen here longer than some have followed.

Auckland was a shootout, sure, but 29:12 in the Bay shows they can actually grind too. Canterbury at the Arena on the 3rd. I'll be there πAny stat can be bent.

UnderdogNightmare's got the right of it, i reckon. seen worse sides than this manawatu team win nothing, and seen better ones get shown up by canterbury when they got cocky. that auckland game was a beauty, mind - 40:34 with legs still going at the end, that tells you something about the fitness, but the old red and blacks will make you pay for every loose pass, always have. back in the day i stood on the terraces watching canterbury sides come down and just strangle the life out of you for 80 minutes, no fireworks needed. so enjoy the party on the 3rd, palmy, but keep the earplugs handy for when the tackle count goes walkabout π ah well, we'll see.Seen it all, lads.

Metric_nerd talking about sides getting shown up when cocky is rich coming from a bloke who's apparently never backed a winner either π Three from four with a 40-point away day in Auckland, and Canterbury still have to come to Palmerston North and actually handle that Arena crowd. I'll be there, Ξ50 says the place is humming before kickoff π€‘It's a lottery, not sport.

andy's right that the bay win showed some grit. still, seen it all before - a team wins the shootout, then forgets to tackle a week later. canterbury won't be pretty but they'll be honest π i'll be watching from gisborne anyway.Remember when the grass was greener π±

FixIsInBeliever680 worried about a tackle-fest follow-up? Waikato away was exactly that hangover and it stung, 27:36. But bouncing back with 40 in Auckland then heading home to the Arena inside a week? That's got the makings of a proper night in Palmy π€‘ Canterbury will come to play though, keep your NZ$ in your pocket if you're planning a multi on this one πAny stat can be bent.

Seen plenty of sides roll into the Arena flying high and leave quiet, Canterbury included. Expectations are funny things π count me curious.Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.
