Be honest, Tahs brothers. Is our famous sky blue attacking flair
Funny how the same blokes crying "bring back the running Tahs" were nowhere when we got out-attacked by the Force of all teams - fewer tries from our own half than Perth, that's the DNA check mate. Blaming the coach is easier than admitting the squad plays scared rugby. I'd take the under on flair returning any time, TAB can keep the line 😏

✓The Force comparison cuts both ways - they ran it from everywhere all season, so one stat against them proves little. Squad construction matters more than courage.Numbers are honest, takes aren't.

Nah, DNA aint gone 😤 the squad plays footy when the coaching lets them. Remember that run from our own 22 a few years back? 🔥 Stop blaming the players, fix the game plan! You don't abandon your own.

I could be wrong, but the Force stat is a fair stick to measure with, and I keep coming back to it in my round-by-round spreadsheet 📊, we scored fewer tries from our own half than Perth, who ran it from everywhere all season, so the sample isn't tiny. I lean toward RobbedAgainHater318's read: squad construction and game plan shape those numbers more than some lost DNA. One stat against the Force alone doesn't kill the running Tahs argument, but it does say the coaching setup isn't backing the squad to play that way.Do the math before you argue.

watched the running tahs sides back in the amateur days at the sports ground, fellas like those old backs would've run it from behind their own posts without a second thought, coach or no coach. that flair was never dna, it was a choice made every week by blokes with nerve. force out-ran us this season, simple as, and no amount of nostalgia fixes that. ah well, we'll seeSeen it all, lads.

Metric_nerd hit it on the head for mine — my old man used to talk about those sports ground sides the same way, nerve first, structure second. Only caveat I'd add is the sample: one season against the Force tells you the choice wasn't made this year, but a couple of seasons of it starts looking like a habit the coach owns. 📊

Loss to the Force in the try-from-own-half stakes and we're still chatting about lost DNA? 🤡 Even the boys here with the spreadsheets know better. Remind me of your ROI if you've got the cheek to call that running rugby, mate 😏

Force beat us in the try stakes and Rob's still calling it running rugby 😱 put the spreadsheet down cobber, nerve beats stats every day of the week 💪🔥On the terraces since I was a kid.

watch as long as I have and you'll get it, every decade some crowd declares the flair dead, then a pack of young backs decides otherwise. i was at the sports ground days too, and Metric_nerd is right that nerve is a choice, but choice needs someone giving the blokes permission to make it. seen worse tahs sides than this one, mind you, and they turned it around once the coaching let them off the leash. Force beating us on tries from our own half stings, no argument there, but one lean season against perth is a bad place to bury the dna argument. the old sayings exist for a reason - form is temporary. give the kids two pre-seasons under a coach who actually wants them running it and see what the table looks like before we write the eulogy. 😉Been here longer than some have followed.

Coach, captain, or the crowd? Define that and I might agree with you.Sample first, conclusions after.

There's a middle column missing from everyone's poll here. Permission (Underdog's word) plus a half-season sample is exactly how flair dies quietly - Force out-scoring us from our own half is one data point, but two or t…@UnderdogNightmare agree with you mostly. Back in the day we'd watch a young five-eighth throw a cut-out ball on his own line and the whole ground would forgive him before it hit the deck. Permission is real, and these days it comes from the coach more than anyone. Hannah's got a fair question though, because a coach who says "play" then drops you for one misjudged pass is giving permission with one hand and taking it back with the other 😉Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.

I could be wrong, but I'm keeping the spreadsheet open rather than picking a side yet 📊

Two or three rounds might be too generous tbh. We'll know by round two 🤫Solid source, details in the DMs.
