Time we finally signed a proper No. 8
Honestly our No. 8 stocks last season were thinner than my TAB balance after round three 😂 Watched the loosies get emptied by injuries and we were basically filling the jersey with whoever could walk.
Word is there's been quiet chat about a certain Tasman back-rower not being all that settled up there, nothing solid, mind, just the usual pre-NPC whisper mill. If even half of it's true he'd be exactly the sort of dog we need at the back of the scrum. Anyone else heard similar or am I talking through my school socks again? 🤡

Fair question from Paul_Fan on sourcing. I keep my own spreadsheet on our loose forward usage and the honest answer is the NPC window rarely delivers a marquee No. 8 anyway. I could be wrong, but most available loosies in that age bracket (23-27) are already contracted, and anyone good enough to start for us is usually locked up by a Super squad. Realistically we're shopping for a journeyman with GPS on his knees, so temper the dream-pick talk accordingly. 📊Do the math before you argue.
