Throwback to the golden era
i remember back when the canes were running teams ragged in the last twenty minutes and the whole stadium seemed to lift with them. watched enough rugby in my time to know when a crowd believes, and at Sky Stadium you could feel it in your bones. the noise when the boys went wide and the wing was away, hairs on the neck stuff 😄
funny thing, my old man took me to games at Athletic Park before that, cold wind and all, and even then the yellow and black crowd never went quiet. some things dont change. keen to hear what nights stick in your memory, lads. gone but never forgotten, that final quarter roar 😉

✓Seriously, how could you even forget that sound? 🔥💪 I was right there at Sky Stadium that game, buzzing like mad, and when they started running in the final quarter, I honestly felt my chest expand, man. 😱 That roar is what makes this club, nah, what makes *us* so strong tbh, just pure electricity 🙌.You don't abandon your own.

ah the old days when the whole stand would rise as one in the last quarter. i remember watching as long as i have and you could tell the finish line was where the canes lived, they'd smell tired forwards and just go. seen worse sides than ours fold in that exact moment, never our boys 😄Been here longer than some have followed.

KevFan nailed it tbh, they finished like it was training drills 😱 I still get goosebumps thinking about how the whole terrace would just lift when the forwards started rolling in the last quarter, you could hear it before you saw it 🔥 My old man took me to a few of those and he reckoned the noise at Sky hit harder than anything he'd heard. Kids I coach now don't believe me when I tell them ah well, nowt to do 🙌You don't abandon your own.

Haha this thread has a life of its own 🤣 mate I still cop grief from my old man because I spilled a whole pie down my jumper when the joint erupted in the last quarter that one time. Legend says the pastry is still there. Golden days eh, worth a curtain call 🍿😂Hold my pint.
