From Eden Park heartbreaks to that 2024 final
i remember sitting in the old stands at eden park back in my day, freezing half to death and still singing my lungs out after another heartbreak - my old man reckoned loyalty was like a good stew, it just needs time 😉 and after all those years of waiting, that roar when the trophy went up in 2024... i've seen worse nights, but few better ones. goosebumps just typing this, eh 😄

✓Mate my old man took me to Eden Park as a kid, froze through plenty of those gutting losses together - so watching the 2024 final from the couch with HIM, both of us screaming when that trophy went up, honest tears tbh 😭🙌 through thick and thin alright. What a result. Ah well, nowt to do, just gonna rewatch the highlights again 🔥💪You don't abandon your own.

lovely stories from you both. my favourite bit isn't even a final, back in the day i'd catch the bus up from home with my old rugby mate, pay our NZ$20ish for a spot in the terraces, and we'd stay behind after another gutting loss just to clap the boys off. half empty stadium, a couple of hundred of us still singing, cold as anything. my mate used to say that's when you find out who the real ones are. so when that roar went up in 2024 i reckon all those cold nights were in it too, every one of them 😄 ah well, we'll seeSeen it all, lads.
