From Eden Park 2011 to the haka under the roof
i remember sitting in the lounge with my old man back in 2011, both of us yelling at the telly when donald stepped up for that kick. had a few beers in me by then and when it went through i nearly woke the neighbours. funny old game, the bloke everyone laughed at became a legend that night. ah well, we'll see what moments this lot give us 😄

Great thread. I've got a soft spot for that 2011 side because they won the whole thing while half the country wrote them off, and Beaver's kick summed it up - blokes who'd copped grief for years stepping up when it mattered most. Would the current lot handle that kind of pressure the same way? I could be wrong, but I reckon they're close. The talent's there and the depth is better than anything we had back then, honestly. What that 2011 team had in spades was scar tissue. Guys who'd been knocked down in 2007 and carried it for four years. This mob haven't had to carry that weight yet, and you only find out what that's worth on the night. Give them a few more big ones together and I think we'll look back on this group just as fondly 📊Do the math before you argue.
