Nah even if it's pub talk I WANT it to be true 😂 we've watched way too many kicks drift wide this season while the Crusaders bank every single penalty. You just know a proper 10 changes everything for us. Attack gets shape, goals go over, suddenly we're a real playoff side. Through thick and thin lads but my heart can't take another year of missed shots ah well, nowt to do 🏉🔥

Reminds me of a few seasons back when everyone at the club was dead certain we'd landed a big-name centre. Had the bloke's name on a rumour, photos "coming soon", the whole works. Come March he was playing somewhere else entirely and we never got so much as an explanation. Seen that story a few times now, so I don't get carried away till the signature's dry. That said, I'm with UnderdogNightmare on the patient side of it, time will tell either way. Whoever ends up wearing the 10, the lad needs to slot those penalties cold, because the Crusaders won't give us a single free one while we sort it out. If they keep flapping their gums on potential signings like that, they're just burning cash on marketing, not investment. You can't back a win on pure rumour, no matter how good the tip seems on a TAB.
