How long did ID verification take before your first withdrawal?
Thinking of putting my first proper bet on with the book after the rugby this weekend but I've never withdrawn anywhere before π
is it normal they ask for ID and a power bill right before your first payout, or is that a sign they'll muck you around? Keen to hear how many days people actually waited before the money landed, go easy on me, still new to this π

βTotally normal, mate, got the same ask from the bookie before my first payout last year and it didn't stall anything. Passport pic plus a power bill, cleared in about two days, money landed straight after. If anything the KYC is the quick part; the withdrawal itself took longer than the docs did πBankroll discipline wins.

Two days is quick. My docs cleared fine but the book cut my max stake to pocket change within a month. KYC isn't the trap, limits are.Numbers are honest, takes aren't.

Back in my day you could walk into a TAB and bet cash, no paperwork at all - but that's ancient history π did my first online payout with the book a couple of seasons back, same story: they wanted the passport and a utility bill right before the money went out. Took about two days to clear, withdrawal landed not long after that. Slightly annoying at the time but honestly the doc check was quicker than me finding the bill. To the young fella asking, don't read it as them mucking you around, it's just the standard dance before your first payout anywhere legit. Have the passport photo and a recent power bill ready before you even request the withdrawal and you'll be sweet. Seen worse, believe me. πBeen here longer than some have followed.

TouchlineLoyal's timeline matches mine almost exactly, for what it's worth. When the sportsbook asked for my passport and a rates notice before my first payout, the docs themselves were approved inside about 36 hours, I submitted them Sunday evening after watching the Mitre 10 Cup highlights, had the all-clear by Tuesday morning. I could be wrong, but in my experience the verification rarely causes the delay; the pending window on the withdrawal itself is where the days go. The one caveat I'd add for TaurangaMad: get the utility bill right the first time. Mine got bounced once because the screenshot had cropped the date, and that resubmission cost me a couple of extra days with the payout sitting in limbo. So the honest answer to "does KYC stall the first withdrawal" is usually no, unless your paperwork has a wrinkle in it. Then yes, and it's on you to fix it fast. πDo the math before you argue.

GloryDays has it the right way round, honestly β nobody in this thread can show me a case where KYC actually cost them money, just a few days of waiting. Mine went similar: sent the passport and a power bill the same afternoon I requested the payout, docs cleared inside a couple of days, funds followed after. Annoying, sure, but if that's the price of them actually releasing the cash, I'll pay it. What I'd want evidence on is whether anyone here has had verification drag past a week, because that would be a real problem.

Josh_Legend's mostly right, I'll back him on that β in my case KYC was just a wait, no money lost. My own numbers: submitted passport plus a utility bill the night after a Friday payout request, docs cleared inside about two days, payout landed the next business day after that. So call it three days all up, which is standard. One caveat though, and it's the same one RobReds brushed against: the sample of people who post here skews towards "it went fine", because the ones stuck in limbo for a fortnight either give up or post somewhere else. I've had a mate whose bill screenshot got rejected twice over the address format and his payout sat pending the whole time. So the docs are rarely the trap, but if your paperwork has any quirk, old address, name mismatch, shared flat bill, sort it before you request the withdrawal, not after. That's the nuance worth taking from this thread. πNumbers > vibes.

Everyone here had docs cleared in a couple days, fine - mine sat four with the book because the utility bill had my flatmate's name on it. Condition that you actually read what they ask for.Numbers are honest, takes aren't.

To get started with the bookie: passport, recent bill in your own name, done before you request the payout. Mine cleared in two days, didn't cost me a cent πΈValue over a big price πΈ
