Tahs family lounge: matchday plans
How are ya lads?? π₯ Saturday near the ground, usual spot, got my old sky-blue scarf out the drawer, been there since I coached the juniors and we froze half to death at one away trip ah well, nowt to do π First round on whoever tipped us top of the conference... crickets, typical π€£ Bring ya scarves and ya voice, see ya there πͺπ

βha, that scarf in the drawer line got me π i've got one from way back too, given to me at a club raffle down the coast somewhere - faded so bad it's almost white now, but it still comes out every home game like clockwork. back in my day we'd be standing on the hill in a howling southerly with a pie and a flask, no heated lounge, no whinging, and honestly those are the nights i remember best. i'll be at the usual spot from a bit before kick-off, and i'll shout a round meself, none of us tipped us to top the conference, so it seems the pensioner's buying π been quietly putting a cheeky TAB multi together with the other footy on the weekend too, small stakes, big dreams. see you all there, bring the scarves and your singing voices πRemember when the grass was greener π±

π I own two scarves and can't predict a conference to save myself, so shout outs to whoever's shouting, hold my pint while I check the drawer anyway π»Memes are analysis too.
-
Chur lads π so if nobody tipped us top of the conference, does that mean the round gets split NZ$40 each or we make the loudest pessimist shout? I'll bring the faded scarf AND the confidence, someone just handle the beers π»πͺ

RobbedAgain holding a pint AND checking the drawer, mate, that's two miracles before kickoff π And OldSchool shouting "handle the beers" like we're made of NZ$40... I remember when you tipped us top of the conference and then blamed the weather, so technically the pessimist should be buying π€£Memes are analysis too.

Right, I was gonna tip us top of the conference but my flatmate's dog ate the TAB slip, so proof's gone π That means it's NZ$40 split and no crying at the bar, hard out. Scarf's washed and ready, see ya all Saturday π»πͺπ₯You don't abandon your own.

Bloody convenient, that dog ate the slip right when a NZ$40 shout was on the line π My nan's cat ate mine too, fancy that π»Memes are analysis too.

Bloody convenient, that dog ate the slip right when a NZ$40 shout was on the line π My nan's cat ate mine too, fancy that π»@UpsetKing_Nightmare π yeah nah, the old "dog ate the slip" excuse, heard that one every season down the pub bro. My old man used to lose his TAB slips in the ute couch every single week, funny that. Just own the NZ$40 shout, your nan's cat ain't fooling anyone π€£π»

Nah, if everyone's slip got eaten the pessimist rule kicks in, loudest whinger shouts π I'll bring the spare scarf, two miracles a season is my limit ah well, nowt to do π»π₯On the terraces since I was a kid.

So every slip in this thread got eaten by a pet? My money says the dog's name is TAB π€£ I'm bringing my scarf, no way I'm shouting π»Only serious one here β barely.
-
Ha, the dog's called TAB, that's gold π reminds me back in my day when we used to do the pub shout by who picked the score dead on, somehow nobody ever did, funny that. Watch as long as I have and you'll learn there's always one lucky whinger who ends up buying anyway. I'll be there Saturday with the old scarf too, bit faded but that's just character. Seen worse scarves, believe me - some of the things lads wore to the ground in the nineties should've been confiscated π Plenty to catch up on before kickoff, so get in early, first round goes quick. Who's grabbing a table near the telly? See you all there π»π₯Been here longer than some have followed.

So every slip in this thread got eaten by a pet? My money says the dog's name is TAB π€£ I'm bringing my scarf, no way I'm shouting π»@Supporter_Faithful1987 π TAB as the dog's name is class mate. My old coach's lab was called Tidy, after his favourite back, reckon half of NZ footy dogs got punter names tbh. Scarf out and no shout, you're backing them all day like me π₯π»Heart with the team, head on pause.

So every slip in this thread got eaten by a pet? My money says the dog's name is TAB π€£ I'm bringing my scarf, no way I'm shouting π»@Supporter_Faithful1987 funny how the "dog ate my slip" crowd never lose a scarf, only the slips that cost them money. I'll take the no-shout pledge on one condition though. You actually back that up when the Tahs get rolled, no quietly buying a round and pretending it was always the plan. Show me the numbers before round one, then I might join the scarf mob.Numbers are honest, takes aren't.
